PMCIDs and Your Publications: Complying with NIH's Public Access Policy

PMCIDs and Your Publications: Complying with NIH's Public Access Policy Online

To advance science and improve human health, the NIH Public Access Policy ensures that the public has access to the published results of NIH-funded research. Researchers are required to submit final peer-reviewed journal manuscripts resulting from NIH funds to PubMed Central (PMC) upon acceptance for publication. The manuscripts must be made accessible to the public on PMC no later than 12 months after publication.

This session will walk you through the steps you must take to ensure that your publications are assigned PMCIDs (PMC unique identifiers), which serve as proof of compliance.
